ACI Test Preparation

Class graduate, David Brady, showed up to class and showed the students how to perform some of the tests that will need to be performed in order to receive their ACI Certification at the end of the course.

Concrete Stairs

One of the projects that was assigned was for a few students to create a set of concrete stairs. It was started with a basic form with wood reinforcement. The students designed the form, mixed the concrete, and finished the stairs.
The team put in charge of the stair project was: Jonathan Wooten, Nic Masters, Timmy Holloway, and Steven Phalin. Project was managed by Jonathan Wooten.


Concrete Bowls

Started in the third week of the class Mr. Wahl assigned the students a bowl project. This project was for the class to make concrete bowls, and to teach the class how to use acid stains. Students tried using different stains and varied concrete mixtures to see the differences. The bowls were managed and stained Tyler Bell.

Absolute Rentals



Our class took a field trip to Absolute Rentals on January 21st to learn about the different types of tools and equipment used in the concrete industry. Our instructor covered hand tools, power tools, ladders, stains, and scaffolding.
